Winter 2012 Update
Wednesday, 25 January 2012 10:38
Brothers,
I hope that all of you had a great holiday season; the National Executive Board has kept busy since my last update email. Our chapters and colonies are currently in the peak of rush season.

1.      As of December 19, 2011, Epsilon Tau Pi Foundation, Inc. is an official organization registered in the State of Ohio.  On January 23rd the National Executive Board elected after seeking applications three people to the Foundation Board.  Aaron Schneider will serve as the President of the Foundation, Victor Velten will be the treasurer, and Michael Sievers will be the Secretary.  Josh Barnheiser and Phillip Martini will hold appointed positions on the Foundation Board.  The foundation is currently going through the steps of registering with the IRS for 501c3 status which will allow donations to the foundation to be tax deductable.  They are also working on creating the National Eagle Scout Scholarship which the first application cycle will be this summer.
2.      Planning continues on the First National ETP Trip.  We will be having a White Water Rafting Trip/Service project for the new Summit High Adventure Base in Oak Hill, WV.  This event will truly allow our members to experience the benefit of being in a national Fraternity by meeting/networking with brothers and alumni from all of our locations.  More information is available on the ETP website to sign up for the trip.
3.      Although we have not had any new expansions this year the NEB is working hard to strengthen existing colonies and chapters.  We have also made changes to the way polos and certificates to streamline the process which was becoming very difficult as we continue to increase the size of our fraternity.  The NEB has been active in attending chapter and colony Rush and ritual events.
4.      Alpha Chapter continues to hold Merit Badge College this year they have more than 500 scouts scheduled to attend the 3 session event at the University of Dayton.

As always if you have any questions of comments please feel free to contact me.

I hope that all of you have a fun and safe New Years Eve tomorrow.  I wanted to update you on the status of the ETP Foundation.  We have received paperwork back from the State of Ohio, attached, showing the filling of ETP Foundation.  We are one step closer to becoming a 501c3.
Aaron and Victor continue to be working hard in setting up the scholarship and foundation, thanks to both of them.
